About the Role:

Our client, a leader in the agriculture industry, is seeking an experienced  Accounts Payable Manager to oversee all aspects of the AP function. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, driving process improvements, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives on building efficient systems and strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists

Review and approve vendor payments and reconciliations

Implement and maintain best practices for invoice workflow, automation, and internal controls

Partner with procurement, finance, and operations teams to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies

Lead month-end close activities related to AP, including accruals and reporting

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and audit requirements

Support system enhancements and ERP process improvements

Qualifications:

5+ years of progressive AP experience, including 2+ years in a management or supervisory capacity

Strong understanding of GAAP and AP best practices

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
