Job Overview We are seeking an HR Business Consultant to join the Sentry team. As an HR Business Consultant, you will provide strategic human resources consulting services to business leaders and partner on a range of HR initiatives. Responsibilities Build strategic relationships with business leaders and develop trust and business acumen to deliver on business needs. Identify, define and recommend solutions to address business needs while considering the broad impact on HR strategies. Utilize key business/HR metrics and data to monitor changes or trends and provide interpretation to influence outcomes and aid decision‑making. Lead and facilitate HR programs and services in line with the business area’s strategic plan. Provide change‑management consultation to assigned business areas as needed. Provide end‑to‑end HR consulting support from needs assessment to delivery and evaluation of implemented solutions. Execute on programs, processes or resources that drive workforce development, engagement and retention. Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to ensure consistency in communications and implementation of updates. Provide additional programs, communications or resources in areas such as performance management, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, career development and leadership development to meet the specific needs of the business function. Lead projects and serve as a go‑to change‑management advocate throughout the project life cycle. Partner or manage key processes related to employee relations, staffing, training, performance management, succession planning, compensation and benefits. Conduct reviews of HR activities to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Remain up to date on relevant legislature and upcoming changes that impact the business. Conduct investigations and compile data on individual issues, making recommendations for action based on findings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Demonstrated leadership and professionalism. Business expertise with knowledge of how HR processes can be applied to business strategy to influence results. HR Generalist skills, including compensation, employee development, benefits and organizational development. Thorough knowledge of major HR disciplines and proven ability to support business partners at the highest level. Solid understanding of fair employment practices and regulations. Proven ability to navigate and manage complex employee relations issues. Previous change‑management experience preferred. Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with business leaders. Benefits Flexible hybrid work model: Monday and Friday work from home (optional); Tuesday through Thursday in office.
