Salary: compensation based on experience

Scott Electric Company has a current opening for an Internal Auditor. The Internal Auditor will perform audits of the organization's operations, financial and information systems, assessing compliance with applicable standards and guidelines with an emphasis on the sufficiency of internal controls and the level of compliance.

Responsibilities in order of priority:

• Reviews operational, financial, and electronic information systems' internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
• Audits the companys information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
• Audits the companys financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency.
• Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to existing practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must submit a background check and drug testing

Required Skills/Abilities in order of priority:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a background in operational auditing.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems security.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with accounting software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in accounting required.
• Three years of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation preferred.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
