Junior Accountant | Temp to Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Swartzville, PA area | Fully On-site

Responsibilities:

• Engage in month-end and year-end financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting records.
• Manage daily banking activities including setting up new accounts, approving wires/ACH transactions, and handling stop payments.
• Reconcile and analyze freight margins for our Logistics division to support financial decision-making.
• Maintain fixed asset records to accurately reflect asset value and depreciation.
• Conduct bank statement reconciliations and reconcile other general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly analysis reports to management.
• Utilize Prophix CPM software to create detailed financial reports.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process to support strategic financial planning.
• Assist with annual audit and tax preparation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Skills / Experience:

• Must have experience with financial statements and budgeting.
• Familiar with income statements and prepays.
• Accounting degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLookups) and ERP Systems.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting OR a recent college graduate with a strong academic background in accounting and a relevant internship experience.
