Job Description

The Opportunity:

Join the team transforming the future of the U.S. Army. As a Multimedia Graphic and Animation Designer supporting the Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM) Communications Directorate, you will play a vital role in advancing the Army’s modernization and digital communication initiatives. You’ll design, animate, and produce multimedia products that inform, inspire, and connect Soldiers, leaders, and stakeholders across the force.

This is a creative and technically demanding position focused on producing 2D/3D animation, motion graphics, and visual storytelling that amplifies T2COM’s mission. You will work closely with senior leaders, communication specialists, and digital media teams to ensure all products meet Army branding, accessibility, and security standards—while driving innovation in visual content creation and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce graphics, animations, videos, and multimedia products that support T2COM communications, training, and outreach efforts.
  • Create motion graphics and visual effects for briefings, campaigns, and social media content.
  • Design and edit visual materials for training, exhibits, and digital platforms, ensuring brand and accessibility compliance (Section 508).
  • Capture and edit video and audio for interviews, events, and command messaging.
  • Manage digital asset libraries and maintain version control for multimedia products.
  • Collaborate with web designers, communications planners, and public affairs staff to align products with T2COM’s strategic narrative.
  • Provide on-site multimedia support for high-visibility events, senior leader engagements, and campaigns.
  • Translate complex technical and operational concepts into compelling visual narratives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and DoD visual communication standards to improve production quality and efficiency.
  • Recommend emerging technologies, methods, and tools to enhance digital storytelling capabilities.

Requirements

Required:

  • Current SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in multimedia design, motion graphics, animation, or video production.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Animate).
  • Experience producing 2D/3D animation, visual effects, and compositing for government or corporate environments.
  • Strong understanding of DoD/Army communication standards, branding, and Section 508 compliance.
  • Experience with digital video production workflows, including lighting, audio, and post-production editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple creative projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent visual storytelling, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of motion design, animation, and multimedia work.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Army and Joint organizational structures, communications protocols, and modernization priorities.
  • Experience supporting senior leader communications, command-level campaigns, or transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of web integration and interactive media (HTML5, SharePoint, or embedded multimedia).
  • Ability to train and advise non-technical personnel on visual media and presentation best practices.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and initiative in a dynamic mission environment.

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
